We’re still alive!
If you’re still checking our blog I wanted to update and say we’re still around! :) I know we’ve been rather silent on here for a while… it’s just been a very busy time! I’ll give you the short version 
The month of April was busy for me with a woman’s retreat, Easter, a trip to Virginia, a long weekend trip to the Yakima area (Doug came along on this one!), and a new bath tub with a newly tiled shower (this is what Doug was doing while I was gone!). The bathtub is fabulous as it’s a few inches wider and a few inches deeper and I actually fit in it now! Yeay! It looks wonderful too - my husband is so talented at doing these around the house things and I’m so grateful for that - even if we do live in project central for a while! :) I wouldn’t have the first clue how to do any updates on the house, so I’m glad he does know how! The trips were fun too… I got to go to two weddings - one for an old roommate in college and one for friends of the family. I got to visit with some of my other college friends in Virginia as well. It was great to catch up, though I was ready to be back home with Doug by end of the week! I even had a cancelled flight coming home so was home 24 hours later than I expected!
But the end of April didn’t stop the busy season! I have been on jury duty downtown this week! It has been rather interesting to commute downtown and spend time in the city during regular working hours - I even get two breaks of at least fifteen minutes (usually longer) and an hour and a half lunch break! That’s the really nice part! It kinda makes up for having to travel farther and do some work at home to make up for things I’m missing at work! I took the bus to Seattle for the first time, and then tried the train (which was really nice by the way!), so it’s been an adventure of sorts! The weather has been perfect to be downtown too! It is a bit strange not to be able to talk to anyone about what happens during my day… but I should be able to discuss it all soon! I think tomorrow will be my last day on the jury. It will be nice to get back to a regular routine too… but I’ve enjoyed my glimpse into the justice system much more than I expected to. I can say that I’m glad it’s a short trial! It would get old rather quickly if I had to go for weeks on end! Well, that’s what I’ve been up to…. I’m too sleepy to post any pictures of my April adventures right now… so hope you’re just enjoying having something to read on here! Hopefully we’ll be back again soon… Thanks for reading.

Yay! So fun to read an update from you on here! I’m glad jury duty was better than you expected! I’m odd and wish I would have duty one of these days! I think it might be interesting…maybe I watch too much CourtTV! Looking forward to your next post!
