A Camping we will go…
Although it took a month to prepare for, well at lease we thought about preparing for it for a month, we kicked off our camping exploits a bit early this year. Knowing my wife and how she enjoys being warm, I was a little hesitant to hit the outdoor living room during the first weekend of June. But oh was there a surprise in store for us with the 80 + degree weather we had. We packed up the car and our new little trailer and headed over to Kopachuck State Park just west of Gig Harbor. There we joined up with Steven and Jessica from church who had already struck camp in site 16. There was plenty of fun, food and fellowship for us and even a few tense moments when our dog Bruin was getting to know Steven and Jessica’s cat Chester. Although once Chester set the ground rules they got along just fine.
So we expect this to be just the beginning of the grandest camping year of our lives as we already have at least one camping trip planed each month (including a week in Yellowstone) through the end of summer. Now mind you I do plan on taking my wife on a warm beach vacation sometime in September so it will not be just dirt and grime between our toes as we are out and about…

What a blast…sounds like fun. We went away as a family for nine days in April, and are eager to go away again. We enjoy vacations very much!
