First nights…

Baby Amina

We have been slowly progressing into this new lifestyle and making adjustments as we go.  Carol and Baby are doing very well and getting A+’s on all exam’s.  Amina so far seems to be a night owl but we did get more sleep last night then the first.  She is tuning out to be such a people person as she is more content being right next to us or especially latched on to Carol.  Carol ended up nursing for about 2 hours last night with the little one complaining every time she was separated.  I ended up walking with Amina for a while until she settled down then laid down with her as she just didn’t want to be left in the bassinet alone.  That seemed to work well as we all got a few hours of sleep until our nurse came in to check on the baby.  Well breakfast has just arrived, though Amina already has a head start on her’s.

    Glad you all are doing so well and Amina is such a people person! :) I loved hearing all about the meaning of her name and how special it is to Doug’s family…How perfect! I wish I could meet Little Miss Peaceful right now! It’s so hard being so far away! Keep the updates coming! :)

    That is great, those first nights can be a little challenge but she will get it figured out :) I was just thinking though, hey I nursed for two hours last night too, but I was sleeping:) They’ll figure it all out and in a couple weeks you will all be pros! Bless you, and I hope you all get some better rest tonight!

    Keep on nursing her as she needs. She’ll settle down in a week or so. And if not, well, she just likes being close to Mama!

    And is it just me, or does she get cuter with each day that passes?!

    Oh, I was so excited to see on Jenni’s blog that your precious little girl had arrived!! Hope I get to see her before she gets too big! I was thinking “I will have to ask Jen how to pronounce her name”, and then you supply that information! How’s that for service!! She is just beautiful! (In fact so cute she could be one of my grandbabies) :)
