My cousin Joel came over from Zillah this last weekend for a wedding of some of his Generational Leadership classmates. As a result I had a very fun and relaxing (i.e. lazy) time with him and some other out of town friends. We ended up going out to Red Robins, watching movies and playing cards. When they were not around I spend most of my time trying to clean up around the place but did not get any of the work done that I had planed. Oh! and I’ve discovered that I have some new pets/pest… Sounds like its time feed them some yummy D Con.

Last night I ended up going out with my friend Taracina and found out that staying out to 1:30 am on a work night is not as smart as it used to be. But I am looking forward to taking tomorrow off of work as my other cousin Ben is going to be spending the day with me. As most might know he is heading off to Iraq next month for about a year so this will probably be the last time that I get to spend some quality time with him before he leaves. I’ve been getting some mail from my parents who are over with Scott and Brenda in Uganda right now. I hope to see them back in a month or so. Here are some of the highlights from their mails:

? Jan 5th: We bought 7 bales of clothes with about 250 pieces per bale and will be going to Soroti to give them to the refugees. There are about 100,000 refugees there that have fled from the north where the rebels are killing many. It will be about 10 hours round trip traveling so we expect a big day.? ?

Jan 14th: We have finished a teachers conference, a pastors conference, the orphan Christmas party and gone to the island to check on the projects there. Dad is teaching at the Bible school here in Masaka and in the afternoon checking out the regional schools with Scott. He is also helping Sarah put in a garden and will take and Matthew and David fishing one day this week.

Jan 21st: We fixed the kids bike and the garden is coming up! Things are also lining up our South Africa trip which we wanted to drive but realized that it was not safe so we will fly! I go to Kampala tomorrow and buy tickets for the trip which we are looking forward to. It will be interesting to see what the Lord has in mind for this. Well lots of love to you, Dad.
