Updates and such…
So, I pulled it off last night. I went out with two of my friends that are girls and experienced the “bliss” of shopping, eating extremely healthy and seeing a chick flick. I know what your are thinking. You are wondering what would cause me to take on such a radical adventure? All I can say is that “pure insanity” must have caused it. But you know what? I learned so much, I now understand the difference between the scent of “Miracle” and “Chanel” (hope to forget soon though, to much scenery overload in the perfume department). I found out that there is a name for one of the women styles of clothing that I like which is “Peasant.” And that the Gap sells some if it. I also learned that women don’t feel defeated and disappointed after shopping for two hours and not finding a single thing to buy. That you can never try on too many sunglasses. Oh, and that you can put an item of clothing on hold for 24 hours if you are just not sure if you like it or not.
The movie was good but not great, it was called “The Prince and me.” Yep true to the fairy tale story of the peasant (like that word now) getting the Prince. The ending was kind of thrown together though, but I enjoyed the beginning and middle. Dinner was at a place called “Baja Fresh” and I really enjoyed it. It’s kind of a healthy fast food Mexican restaurant. Tacos were way more authentic then Taco Time or the Bell. But not as good as your typical roach coach. We did get pulled over two times by the city police though… My friend Taracina had a head lamp out that just seemed to attract the friendly’s. It didn’t seem to be a big deal to her, so I asked her how many times she had been pulled and she said “NINE”… She even said that she was once pulled over 3 times in like 20 minutes. So as soon as we stopped to drop off our other friend at her car, Jamie, I fixed her head light right there on the spot as she already had the part but just did not know how. Here are some pictures of the weekend: Zillah March ‘04
Well the world around me has been revolving a little faster then normal. Probably do to the fact that I’ve been working on a few important and visible projects. I even had to do some escalations, as in talking to peoples bosses as work was not getting done on time. Don’t like doing that but if I have customers with expectations that something is going to be completed then I have to do what I can to get it done. Home life has been good though. I’ve been spending more time reading and playing my guitar as I had been aspiring to do. I had a great time last weekend when I took a little trip east about 2 hours to Zillah, WA where my Aunt and Uncle live. These are the Hanses’ clan. Ben who is in the Middle East even called on Sunday and it was good to hear his voice. He said that he was in Kuwait and was anxious to head to Iraq as things were so shifty where he was. He was looking for things to settle down and get into a routine and such. But things were good for him except for the heat and sand. We ended up having a very laid back weekend with a few parties in-between naps. OH! I finally got to play my new board game “Settlers Catan” that I had bought about 4 weeks ago. I’m figuring out that it just has to be the right atmosphere and time to pull out board games sometimes.
Let see, what else… I’m looking forward to the weekend of April 17th. I will be heading up north to Mt. Vernon to spend some time with good friends Chris and Jenni Burns. That weekend also happens to be the Tulip Festival were there are hundreds of acres of Tulip fields. The colors are always a sight to be seen and I’m expecting some nice walks with me and my camera, hand in hand. Oh how romantic, we might even have dinner out if things go good!
