Well I thought you would all enjoy this family e-mail that I received from my sister Brenda in Uganda. You can also see thier website here: Volz Family

Hi how are you doing? Well we are all fine, getting ready for Christmas. The tree is up and popcorn strung. Even a few packages starting to show up under the tree! The kids are getting very creative. Sarah Joy maid stockings for all of us and they are hung on the wall. She made them out of pieces of felt. So cute!
Yesterday was the pastor’s party so we put together games. Bree made 100 cupcakes and a big cake. It was so fun to all help it to come together. We are having a bible college party on Tuesday and a Staff party on Thursday next week. I am sure you are all having parties and getting ready too for the Holidays. I must say it dose make us a little home sick.
We have a conference next week out in Kamwalebewa. Scott is speaking and closing it on Friday night. It is more like a crusade. Scott is also getting ready for the Pastors conference the first part of Jan. He is the main speaker this year. It is the 9th-12th of Jan.
Bree is a little sick today just a flue. Keep praying for her. She is wishing to be with her friends for the Holidays. She is studying so hard. She is really looking at staying home next year! Having Joel here is so great they are getting along so well. It’s like she has a big brother! She is getting ready to trade rooms with us. Our room is much bigger and the girls need more space. She is really excited about this!
David is doing well he is 6 inches shorter than me. He is so tall! I think he will pass me in the next year. He has his own room right now and loves reading at night in his bed. He has been reading Job. He is spending a lot of time talking with his dad! He is growing up so much! It’s no longer mom can I talk, its dad can I talk! He still has lots of hugs and love for me though! Dad just understands better! LOL!
Sarah has been sick this last week but she is getting better. She has been learning to sew on the sewing machine. We got her bike fixed this week so she can ride all over the compound. Her garden is wonderful! We eat salad every day from it. The staff eats from it too. Our tomatoes are not doing so well though. But she has two watermelons she is so excited about! Grandpa you have a great little gardener! She even has taken some lettuce and spinach to Tim and Jill some friends of ours.
Matt is fun as ever! He is so much like Scott it makes me laugh! Today he put on a pair of Grandpa Dave’s old shorts with a belt and said “I WANT TO WERE THESE!” I just have to laugh! He has a mind of his own. He is reading better and I won’t let him say I can?t ready any more because if he sounds it out he can get it. He made a new friend in Segaku, Laurence, who had Thanksgiving with us. They played out side for hours! Matt of course came in with dirt from head to toe. He really misses you Cole! He also misses snow right now!
Nathaniel is wonderful. He is so two that we have to turn our faces from him so he doesn’t see us laugh when he is naughty. If he doesn’t get his way with one of us he goes down the line and tries to get what he wants. We do celebrate his 2nd birthday on the 20th of this month. He has started trying to put his own cloths on. So after we have him dressed for the day he comes out of his room with another shirt over the top of his own choice. It may not match but it’s what he wants! We got him a little black motorcycle scooter for his birthday I think he will be all over this place with it. He already goes and visits the whole staff when ever the front door gets left open.
We had lunch with Uncle Randy and Aunt Judy last week it was so fun to see them. They brought Joel two cans of MT. Dew he was in heaven! It was so good to see family!
Having Joel here is so wonderful! He fits in with us just wonderful! He is calling the best out of them! God is so faithful! He helps with just about everything. Except changing diapers but do you blame him?
Well I was thinking about all of you and just thought I’d write and say hi! We love you so much!
Lots of hugs Brenda
