Frolicking through the tulips…

So this past weekend we were able to go back up to Mt. Vernon and stay with the Burns’s once again (Thanks Bob and Joan!!!) for a fun tulip brunch organized by Chris and Jenni…? We had a great time!? It was fun to be joined by the newly engaged Ted and Jalene as well!!!? We were able to take a walk to the tulip garden before the rain begain and got some fun pictures.? Of course Doug and I had to find some of the fun tulip fields on Sunday morning despite the constant rain.? So instead of tip-toeing through the tulips we were sloshing in the puddles, and sliding and sticking in the mud around the tulips!? We still had a great time.? My favorite part about the tulip festival (well other than the tulip brunch with good friends!) is seeing the massive amounts of tulips growing in the fields.? It looks like you would picture Holland looking…? rows and rows of tulips.? So despite the rain and mud, that was a much needed stop in my eyes!?
