Keeping busy
The last few weeks have been very busy in the Easterly household.? My parents came to visit from Virginia for a week at the end of July.? We enjoyed having them here!? We had a more relaxing visit than many in the past, as they have already done many of the touristy activities.? We spent some time at the ocean, exploring Westport, Grayland Beach, and Long beach.? Although the weather was quite a change - cloudy and about 60 with no wind for kite flying!? We had a good time though.? My parents enjoyed meeting their grand-pup too!? :)? Here are a few pictures from their trip…

A few days after my parents left, I went on a week-long camping trip with Doug’s sister Maralee and her family.? We had a wonderful time!? We drove to Silverwood theme park, near Coeur D’Alene, Idaho? where we stayed at a campground for a few days while enjoying the theme park.? It was a bit smaller than I was expecting, growing up near Kings Dominion and Bush Gardens theme parks in Virginia… but we still had a great time!? The water park was very nice and the coasters were a bit more ‘thrilling’ than i remember (and by thrilling i mean nauseating, but fun at the same time 
) I enjoyed trying to convince the kids to ride on the more adventuresome rides with me… and succeeded with most - after which they were so glad they’d gone on them.? After a few days there we drove back to eastern Washington where Doug met us and we camped at Potholes state park, a nice big park on a very large lake.? We took out a boat and enjoyed some tubing, swimming, knee-boarding, etc.? The camping trip was a lot of fun, but it was very nice to sleep in a real bed again last night after 8 nights in a tent!? I’ll have to post some pictures later, as I don’t have those all at this point.? So now it’s back to normal… I have a week and a half left before starting work again.? Although I’m not quite ready for that,? I am just thankful that I was able to enjoy this summer off… it sure beats only have 2 weeks off per year like I was used to…?

What a grand time glad to hear about your summer
Glad you enjoyed the camping time. It has been a long time since we camped in a tent. Don’t think I could sleep very well for that many nights. How is Bruin?? We miss him.
